There are various types of wedding themes. They are commonly associated with white and pastel colors. But today's inspiration is really one of a kind. It is black-and-white-stripe themed wedding. Hendry and Melissa put in black and white stripe details and create the fun and playful feel. A little bit of edgy and chic touch, the bridesmaids wore the striped dresses well. Captured by Bernardo Pictura, Hendry and Melissa's wedding is a proof that unusual choices can make beautiful weddings too.
Here's what the photographer said about the wedding:
Meet Hendry: the funny, creative, hard-worker, and Hot Wheels maniac.
Meet Melissa: the bubbly and lovable.
Meet both of them: the amazing couple.
They story has started since junior high school, but their love story only starts after eight years of being a good friend. The proposal took place in Melbourne. Hendry put the ring inside a cereal box to make it less suspicious - and everyday, he looked for the perfect timing. On the day he finally got the courage, Hendry proposed Meliisa with a Lego man holding the ring inside a Lego block box.
As a reflection from the couple's personality, the wedding was very fun and intimate. It was surrounded by family and closed friends. It was simple DIY (Do It Yourself) wedding, a cutting edge black, white and gold with a touch of green concept. The bride and groom knew exactly what they wanted. Every details, from the dress, the cake, the ring pillow, the bouquet, the tea ceremony set, the decorations, the souvenirs, the bridesmaids and groomsmen style, the wedding car decoration were uniquely Hendry and Melissa. They designed their wedding invitation, souvenir, wedding car decoration, and ring pillow. They even did the pre-wedding photo shoot by themselves. Hendry and Melissa love to add some artistic touch for the decorations too, so the photo gallery and stage backdrop used chalk hand-drawn on black board which created dimensions of interior wall integrated with the real furniture.
