"Basically, we are a simple couple who loves to try unusual things. This is what we're looking to apply to our pre-wedding shoot," Michelle explained. Carrying out their photo session in such a way truly created a statement about their personality. "When every other couple tries hard to find picturesque views, we combined minimalism, a modern studio and tone limitation to create exceptional pre-wedding photos," she adds.
Finding a vendor to translate this vision into photographs is a different story. Fortunately for the couple, Kimi and Smith's specific eyes succeeded in making a simple theme look outstanding. "It was a fun experience. They executed the shoot very well and translated our personalities and ideas to impressive-looking photos," Michelle said.
As easy as it was for the couple to 'click' with their photographer, so was they with each other. They are what people call 'the lucky ones,' who manage to find their soulmate in their lifetime. "It's like finding a living mirror, another version of yourself. We don't need a long time to be sure that we have found a partner, a forever-best-friend in each other," she said.
Their laid-back personality was far from romantic, even their proposal moment was rather mischievous and playful. "Frans created a surprise, invited all of our closest friends and started a really long speech about Indonesian citizen survey. The speech ended with a proposal, but with an empty box that had a 'try again' note inside," Michelle recalled. "But no worries, he had the ring in another box," she said while laughing.
