Louis and Qiu Wen is a quiet couple who, to our surprise, love to explore and try out new ideas. Thus it was natural that the pair decided to hold their entire wedding procession on a three-story riverboat, located in Marina South Pier. "The wedding was small, intimate, and done in a quiet location away from the city. It suits the couple's personality really well!" said photographer Cepheus Chan. With such a stunning backdrop of the open river, Cepheus encouraged the lovebirds to explore the boat as he snapped away their loving moments. "It helps greatly that Liz Florals went all out to beautify the venue with her floral creations on all three decks," the photographer added.
Their once-in-a-lifetime moment began with a Chinese tea ceremony. For this occasion, the bride was seen in an off-shoulder white dress from Kelly's Bridals while the groom donned a navy blue suit to fit the nautical wedding theme. Following the traditional ritual was the solemnization on the top deck which overlooks the city skyline. "It was a pleasure that I could capture the glances they sneaked at each other during the entire procession. Their little interactions and the beauty of the venue also took my breath away," said Cepheus.
After the ceremony Louis and Qiu Wen freshen up and changed their attires. For the nigh reception, Qiu Wen put on a feather top and tulle skirt that exudes elegance but sttill promotes versatility. In the meantime, the reception hall was already decorated. It was not over-the-top glamorous, yet simple and minimalist, reflecting the couple's personality. A pop of yellow and red flowers were spotted across the dining table to set a merry atmosphere. As the night unfolds, they slightly slowed down to make the experience more intimate and let the couple have some alone time after entertaining their guests. "They hardly had time to enjoy the music from the live band, so I told them to at least enjoy a song together, in each other's arms. And they did with an impromptu first dance in front of the whole guests!" enclosed Cepheus about the soirée.
