Angelina's wedding makeup dan NY Fashion Week. --- Angel sangat mengerti makeup, seorang perfectionist yang paham kualitas. Itu terjadi karena dia pernah sekolah makeup dan bekerja dalam industri ini juga. Hal yang lain, sebelum deal makeup dengan Linda Make Up Studio, Angel telah deal dan mencoba vendor makeup lainnya. Tetapi bukan hal2 itu yang menarik untuk disampaikan kali ini (selain karena sudah sering juga stereotipe brides kami yang seperti di atas, baik yang wedding-nya telah lewat atau yang masih belum berlangsung). Menjelang hari pernikahannya, Angel mengingat saya akan satu hal simple yang sangat esensial, tetapi juga sekaligus sudah sering terlupakan... Sesuai teks asli dalam bbm chat-nya, Angel: "Hoho, ci aku request dong, ...bisa kan yahh :) makin deket hari h kayaknya ak tambah sadar pentingnya tampil natural.." saya setuju dan langsung membalas: "iya". kata kuncinya: NATURAL. Nah, itu dia! Okay, now we jump to New York.. Perhaps we can take a little benefit from that hugee fashion event.. From '80s, women actually wanted to look like they were wearing makeup. They wore dark shadow (purple usually), had extreme contouring, and enough black eyeliner to launch the career of Bobbi Brown. This trend eventually became a bit more tame as it continued into the '90s, until early aughties. But, now we've entered the era of #(NoMakeup)Selfies and makeup artists who preach minimalism. Believe it or not, too much makeup is now the enemy. It's true: Backstage at Fashion Week, all that heard was how the models in the show should look "FRESH" and "NATURAL". Uh la laa.. Back to Jakarta now! :) Heavy makeup or not, for me the only thing that matters is to have my brides spin out of the makeup chair looking fresh-faced, extremely beautiful (ofcourse) and dewy.
