There's something sacred about marriage. After all, it's a promise to last a lifetime. A promise to love your spouse, in sickness and in health, for better or for worst, until your very last breath. It's a commitment, a heavy one, symbolized by the Bulang sitting at the top of her head. It's a reminder though marriage is a beautiful union of two souls, it is also a heavy responsibility to bear by the pair. But marriage is done between two people, the groom's Ampu holds the meaning to complete it. To always look up, lay yourself bare in front of God, and to always look down, stay true to your roots by staying humble. Even the heaviest of boulders can be carried if you do both of those things. Together, as they now share the same responsibility. As one, to complete each other til the day they die.
