The Intimate Wedding between Two Haters of Fresh Flowers
by Elior Design

Updated on 20 September 2018

Weddings are usually associated with flowers and bright colors, but not for Herly & Stella. As both of them dislike flowers, they celebrated their big day with dried leaves. Because the Holy Matrimony took place at a warehouse and the reception took place at Pine Hilll, the atmosphere of their autumn-themed wedding was very strong. With simple geometric elements and dried leaves wherever you see, the wedding became relaxed and homey. The Holy Matrimony was very heart-melting. The empty warehouse was magically transformed into a beautiful chapel, decorated with dried leaves along the aisle. Dried palm leaves and dried plants were placed everywhere. When the couple stated their vows, happy (and sad) tears trickled down the bride's cheeks, making the moment even more touching for the couple, the parents, and the guests. Their big day didn't end then and there. It was followed by the wedding reception in the very next week. The guests seemed to admire and get lost in the minimalist decor of Herly & Stella's wedding reception. It was very simple and heart-warming. The bride and groom went hand in hand down the aisle, through the simplistic white pentagonal wedding gate and the guests greeted them lively. The bride looked very stunning in simple white wedding gown. The groom looked as stunning as the bride, with matching white button-down underneath grey tux suit and tie around his neck. They looked ecstatic in their very special day. Through the photo gallery, the newly-wed couple shared the moments leading to their big day. The booth was very pretty with hanging polaroid photos and photo frames hung on the other side of the gallery and also placed above a simple wooden cupboard. The photo gallery was completed by candles placed inside geometric candle holders and dried palm leaves. Hanging lights drapes behind the gallery, complementing the cozy vibe of the wedding reception. The pine trees were everywhere surrounding this outdoor venue, and light bulbs were hung from one stem to another to give the guests warm fuzzy atmosphere. Once the sun went down, the place was brightly-lit and still artistic even at night. The stage was also simply elegant with rectangles frames on each side and white sheer fabric dangled over them, making it classy, but still very comfy and minimalistic. The stage was also complemented by dried palm leaves and lighting from below. The wedding cake was very unique with 2 asymmetrical layers and grey-marble color. This monochromatic and modern vibe was supported by the main colors of this wedding, which were brown, grey and white. Again, because both Herly & Stella dislike flowers, they didn't use flowers when it was time to toss the bouquet to all the single-ladies (and guys) out there. Instead, they used a basketball. Who ever thought, their dislike upon flowers could bring something very unique and homey for their wedding day. We wish Herly & Stella a happy life from this day forward. The best is yet to come :)
