The Greek Goddess Themed Wedding of Edo and Marshella
by Elior Design

Updated on 14 October 2019, Pine Hill, Bandung

Our couple wanted to have Ancient Greek Goddess theme for their wedding. So we incorporated structural elements of Greek architecture in their wedding decoration : tall columns, symmetry, harmony, and balance. But we also wanted a mild and airy look instead of stiff and massive, because this was a wedding afterall, not a building. So we made four Doric columns made of small steel bars to represent this concept, added suspended lines of neatly arranged crystals in the middle to add elegance. And we couldn't love it more! Especially at night ❤️ Incorporating these elements to the wedding decoration can give a true ultimate Grecian feel. To pull off a Greek themed wedding, it’s a good idea to inject a lot of greeneries into your flowers, and your décor. And a good colour scheme to go by is white, green and of course, gold. For the bridal table, we used columns that looks more simple combined with gold lines and fabric draping in the middle. The Greeks were known for their luxury and gold adornments. Because we know that using this three color can never go wrong. These three colours are perfect to make your wedding look more stunning and beautiful. And don't forget drapings. For the gate, we love how white fabric drapings created different look although it was just a simple square gate! And also we love to add the shiny gold monogram. With lines of crystal, it was just perfect, to complete this wedding theme. Set the table for your closest family and friends by creating an intimate reception space using long, banquet-style seating. Not only are they beautiful and romantic, but they're perfect for facilitating conversation among your guests. Especially for people who are meeting for the first time or haven't seen each other in a long time. Weddings are supposed to be a time of celebrating you, the couple, but also a coming together for the celebration. Also there is nothing more romantic than a pathway of petals leading up to the spot where you will say your wedding vows. Flower petals traditionally symbolise a happy path in married life. Flowers represent fertility and rose petals mean eternal love.
