The Engagement of Two Creative People
by Elior Design

Updated on 08 October 2018, Jakarta

Usually, an engagement is not as a big of a deal as a wedding reception. However, that was not the case for Angela & Adrian. Surrounded by many, many family and friends, their engagement was very memorable. Here’s a quick behind the story of why they entrusted Elior Design to decorate their engagement event. So, Angela & Adrian attended one of their friend’s wedding in Bandung, in which the theme was rustic. They immediately fell in love with the design, the décor, the details… Everything, basically. Then, they contacted their friend to ask who designed their wedding celebration. That was how they knew Elior Design and they personally contacted us. Finally, we worked together to design their own engagement event. Angela & Adrian’s engagement party was pretty. Everything was as expected, they told us. From the photo gallery, the photo booth, even the mini garden. However, the most favorite spot to snap photos was the gate which looked like a gazebo. With string lights complemented every spot, everything became fancy. The couple themselves are working in creative industry. That was why their engagement event was unique. Although the event was held indoor, they wanted it to look like it was held outdoor. With string lights, sheer white fabrics, and wooden logs, we tried to make that happen. As the soon-to-be bride was an artist, she turned their pre-wed photos into caricatures and displayed them on the photo gallery. No wonder why this spot was one of people’s favorites. As the concept was rustic with a bit of greeneries, the venue was turned into a place full of flowers, leaves, and woods; accented by fairy lights. Everyone seemed to really enjoy this engagement between Angela & Adrian. The color scheme seemed to highlight the concept of the event and make the area where the engagement took place even more vibrant. Although the concept was rustic, the vibe of the event was so lively. Not only because both of them were bubbly, but also because everyone was so cheerful while supporting the couple and both families. We’re grateful to make this magical day came true and witness two families merge into one. We hope that Angela & Adrian will last together for eternity and we’re really looking forward to their wedding day!
