“Thank you so much for gracing us with your presence at eClarity Grand Opening on 9 October. We all love diamonds, but tonight, it is all about the most important people in my life and my career. eClarity started in the year 2005. I was a young and ambitious girl who thought I had the power to revolutionize the jewellery industry with $80k savings from giving tuition, working part-timed, and as a young executive in MNC after graduating from NUS and GIA. There was only a few diamonds in my inventory, which were all I had from my own personal collections. I had to consign pieces, and specialized in customization as there wasn’t enough stock to even fill up the display. The first group of customers who bought from us, based it all on their wild imagination and amazing trust. “Trust me! It will look great, slightly bigger than this, a tad smaller than that.” I promised them. And these wonderful people, trusted my words when I wasn’t even very sure of myself. Thank you Barbara, thank you Jessie, thank you Jubilee, thank you Siew Meng! Fast track 10 years, eClarity now has a stock level of more than 1 million, an annual local sales of 3 million, blessed with numerous awards, presence in overseas markets and most importantly, wonderful clients whom I have developed strong, genuine, precious and extraordinary friendships with. Thank you Jacqueline, thank you Von, thank you Luke! Above all, this will not be possible without my loving team. I believe there is true love going on in the eClarity office. Thank you Winnie, thank you Chris, thank you Karman, thank you Catherine, thank you Wendy, thank you Carol, thank you Liang, thank you Pearl! From the bottom of my heart, I love each and everyone of you. Thank you my dearest team, for the love, laughter, support and company. Not forgetting of course, my best friends, who are always there for me whenever I needed help, thank you Ashley and her hubby Bernard! Thank you Suat Hong! Today, we are here to celebrate a new milestone in a humble party with only the most important people. It has been 10 amazing years and we are proud to have a beautiful office in the heart of town.
