Thea Tan and Fides Chua had always loved baking and collecting tableware. In fact, Fides honed her pastry skills at Le Cordon Bleu Tokyo, whereas Thea developed an eye for creative direction and styling from her experiences of working at a boutique PR and events agency. In April 2015, the duo finally established Once Upon a Table in Singapore.
"Once Upon a Table's vision is about baking fairytales and making dreams come true," said Thea. The team takes pride in making thoughtful handcrafted desserts and cakes that will be truly memorable for every guest. Since they use only the finest of ingredients including Valrhona chocolate, French butter, and Madagascan vanilla bean, there is no doubt that their sweet treats will delight your taste buds.
Interestingly, Thea and Fides do not offer fixed menus or packages for their dessert tables. Instead, they work closely with clients to gain a better understanding of their preferences, personal style, and wedding theme. "We want our clients to have a wholly bespoke experience, from deciding the flavor of each sweet treat to the overall styling of the setup, so that we can create a dessert table that is uniquely theirs," said Thea.
