With a combination of cultural tradition and modern flair, Ratih and Garry has pulled off their celebration flawlessly with the beautiful outdoor venue of Kayu Arum Resort. This couple started their special day following Javanese wedding traditions; so although their wedding was held away from their home, some of the ceremony was made symbolic and still keeping the true essence of a traditional Javanese wedding. All dressed-up in complete Javanese wedding attires, Ratih and Garry had truly made a deep impression on how they respect and admire their heritage while not forgetting the fact that these young couple like to have fun and be playful. They decided to modify some of their wedding reception, and that was how the modern idea came about.
Ratih looked graceful, still in Kebaya but she decided to attach a train at the back of her dress. This way, the traditional wedding was adorned with a bit of modern touch. They began their wedding procession in Javanese traditions; first was Wiji Dadi (crashing egg ceremony) which then continued with Kacar Kucur (a symbolic ceremony where the groom will provide for the bride) and Dhahar Klimah (eating rituals witnessed by the bride and groom's parents). Lastly, the night was concluded with a modern wedding ritual, cake-cutting ceremony and bouquet-tossing. The wedding was filled with joyful moments and the party's intimacy was captured well, not to forget the white and gold touches in the decoration which added the richness in this modern-traditional wedding even more. So, enjoy their wedding album here, captured by the talented El'lois Photography, that will instantly put a smile on your face.
