To honor her heritage root, Raisa Andriana held the traditional Sundanese ritual Ngeuyeuk Seureuh after her pengajian and siraman procession. Joined by her fiancé, Hamish Daud Wyllie, this ritual symbolizes the couple's good intention to ask for permission and blessings from their parents, before their wedding day. They will then receive the blessings, prayers and advices from their parents in form of various symbols according to the Sundanese culture.
In this special occasion, Raisa or also known as Yaya, looked absolutely divine in a sparkly beige kebaya designed by Anggi Asmara. Hamish Daud was also looking dapper clad in traditional attires.
During this procession, the bride and groom-to-be went through a series of traditional Sundanese rituals that are truly unique and meaningful, like asking for marital advices from their parents, the spreading of rice as a sign of a hope for prosperous life, receiving marital counsel, carrying a set of clothes together, the pounding of mortar and pestle and also the lighting of seven candles which symbolizes the importance of honesty in a marriage.
Just like the two processions earlier this day, happy tears and joyful laughter filled the entire room, which was beautifully decorated in Sundanese Garden themed decoration by Azka Anggun Art. The couple and their families hope that after this series of ritual of pengajian, siraman and ngeuyeukseureuh, the lovebirds will be completely ready and prepared both spiritually and physically to enter married life.
