Just like fate, the meeting of Nindy and Tommy in 2012 became a turning point in their lives. "After a relative's wedding in Makassar, we continued our trip to Bira. That's where we met," Nindy recalled. They started the relationship thinking they had nothing to lose, but their relationship continued for five years and finally led them to the altar.

The preparation of the wedding started in March 2017 and if there's one thing we learn about the couple, is that they really know what they wanted. "I love a wedding that's filled with tradition and culture. As Bugis and Makassar culture are known for bold colors, I chose maroon, burgundy and champagne gold for the wedding. I don't fancy pastel colors myself," the bride explained.

Other than the wedding color palette, there were plenty of other things the couple were sure about. Artea Event Organizer have managed the couple's family affairs and thus have gained the family's trust. So they were the first vendor the couple booked. The bride also especially requested gold wedding attires, different from the usual green Bugis traditional attire. "Another thing I know I really wanted for the wedding was Sheila on 7. We are both big fans of the band and never thought that the next time we saw their performance was at our wedding!" Nindy exclaimed.

Even with two intricate cultures becoming part of their wedding, Nindy and Tommy's celebration was planned without a hitch. "The key is tolerance and good communication during the preparation. "Listen to your fiance and family's advice but not too much from other people," Nindy advised. The celebration was lively and memorable, it even was published by a few online media the day after, thanks to the captivating reception. "It was the happiest day of my life," said the blushing bride.
