Merline and Roby met at her brother's wedding. "We started as friends and reconnected two years later. That was when we began to get close," Merline reminisced. His proposal was a fun one, in fact one that was a prank at first! It started with a plan to dine with his family. "When I arrived, a waiter brought me to one room decorated with balloons and flowers. Out of nowhere a man comes, knelt down then immediately stood up and said to the waiter that I wasn't the girl he was proposing to. The waiter apologized and brought me to another room," she recalled. In that room were flowers, balloons and photos of Roby and herself. "A projector started playing a clip in which Roby asked my parents for approval. After the video ended he came out, opened a curtain behind which our friends and family were hiding and proposed," Merline said.
"Our theme is actually magical, elegant and modern with marble elements," Merline explained. In their invitation suite they used blue marble texture and accentuated its modern vibe with hexagonal shapes on the cover. They even had a marble wedding cake with a hexagon terrarium in the middle, especially made by LeNovelle Cake. Their foyer though, was where the magic happens. With black melamine floors reflecting blue string lights hanging on the ceiling, stepping into it feels like entering the night skies. "As the foyer area was quite spacious, we wanted it to be a distinctive starting point for the whole wedding," said Merline. She then added, "We never expected the decoration to feel this magical. It was everything we hoped for and more."
Their wedding was one to be remember. "Overall, it was a magical night indeed. Indeed there is no such thing as a perfect wedding, but for us this is enough. Couldn't ask for a better wedding and of course better vendors," she gushed.
