Although this cute couple were already planning to wed, Kenneth hadn't officially proposed to his sweetheart Sherlyn. So he took the opportunity to do it in the middle of their pre-wedding shoot in Tokyo!
They picked Spring to head there to enjoy the cherry blossoms. Unfortunately the day was wet so they had to deal with damp grounds, intense cold and umbrellas everywhere. "It's really important to us that our couples understand that the process of the day is more important than arriving at the destination itself," say Fiona of Smittenpixels Photography.
Prior to flying over, Kenneth had shared his idea with Fiona to propose to Sherlyn in Tokyo. The plan was to have it shot near the Tokyo Tower, and he wanted to surround the area with lots of lit candles for a soft romantic setting, she explains.
"I think we did an incredible job tricking Sherlyn into believing that we were doing a small styled shoot for the night while she sat and waited for us to do up the preparations. It took 1 hour in the 10-degree cold because the wind kept blowing out the candles!" she recalls.
"Watching the moments unravel as they huddle together after she said 'yes' made all of the hassle worthwhile. Momentarily, we were all just dwelling in the warmth and happiness emitting from the proposal that we clean forgotten about the cold!"
