How to throw a festive wedding

Color:

While we don't have the pleasure of celebrating a wintry wedding, there are ways to incorporate festive cheer into your celebration.

Get into the mood

Set the tone of your celebration by incorporating elements of your decor like white confetti, tinsel or winter berries in your invitation cards. Guests will immediately get the idea.

Have fun with colours

From pristine white, calming green and cool blue to fiery red, glam gold and silver, we love that festive colours offers a variety of hues to suit most personalities. And the best bit is that all these colours complement one another beautifully so you could choose to have a completely white decor or a luxe red one.

Devil's in the details

Create a festive feel with interesting details like pinecones, log slices to put plates on, or winter berries tied on napkins. Floral centrepieces could incorporate fairy lights, tea lights or candles, which add a romantic wintry feel.

Winter up your bouquet

With their fluffy texture and round shapes, cotton flowers look like snow and make for beautiful bouquets and boutonnieres on their own or arranged with other blooms and foliage.

Dress the part

While it would be an overkill to don a fur stole, why not pick a wedding gown with a lightweight cape or train in lace instead.

Sweet treats

Add festive cheer to your dessert table with marshmallows, cookies, fruit cake and even gourmet hot cocoa bar (you could add a dash of liqueur for an adult version).
