Prior to their wedding, Felicia and Hardy did a Chinese betrothal ceremony also known as tingjing. In this procession, the groom's family formally asks the bride's family for her hand in marriage. For this occasion, Felicia took inspiration from the lush French gardens and prepared all the elements with this theme in mind.
One of the things that stole our attention most was Felicia's dress. She looked stunning clad in a pink dress with gigantic flower patterns on its skirt. It turns out that Felicia herself oversees the overall process from fabric picking to designing. "Designing the dress was my favorite part. Finding the material was a bit difficult since watercolor fabric is uncommon. I had to travel across the province to find it!" she said.
The decoration by Voilawish Party Designer was also beautifully spot-on. On the entrance, you can find the couple's name sign in French language. The backdrop was yet another stunner. "I kept ideas for the backdrop in mind and they made it more beautiful than I could ever imagine," Felicia said. Wooden hoops adorned with flowers and greeneries became an enchanting ceiling decoration while golden trinkets and white flowers sat prettily on the tables.
Before guests leave the venue, they're gifted with hampers, which Felicia put so much thought in. "They were filled with items our guests can use and we get lots of compliments for these gifts. Thanks to my mom and sister-in-law for helping me decide on every single detail," Felicia shared further.
Felicia then added, "This day was so wonderful. I couldn't have asked for a better day." Looking at the photos captured by Summer Story Photography, we couldn't help but agree with her.
