The beauty of Asian heritage wed with western modernity and translated into a minimalist wedding inspiration shoot. That is what today's wedding inspiration is all about. "We wanted to appreciate the beauty of Asian heritage and our love for modern minimalism by intermarrying both eastern and western interpretations. As a team we were also drawn to the old adage that less is more, and sought to create a simple, fuss free look that was clean, delicate and natural to compliment this inspiration," explained photographer Maritha Mae.

In a venue with a sleek aesthetics, the subtle yet rich colors of the furniture and flowers blended effortlessly to the background. The table itself was styled with an ikebana floral piece and handmade porcelain ceramics, which were an appreciation to the Asian heritage. "The botanical watercolor detail, hair pins inspired by flowers found in Chinese landscape paintings and red accents from fresh lychee were a nod to Asian artistry as well as an effort to elevate everyday items found in Asian culture," Maritha explained further. Silk ribbons and fabrics added a delicate texture to the whole setup. And even with elements inspired by the Asian culture, the minimalist aura of the shoot doesn't make it seem out of place in a modern setting.
