Black dress Engagement Session in Longue Vue House and Gardens

Color:

Black is not a popular color in the world of weddings, this we all know. Megan and Adam, though, were bold enough to pull this color off and they did it perfectly. She wore a black midi dress with white accessories and he put on a simple black suit. Their choice on this has proven to be faultless.

Rather than looking too simple or shabby, Megan stood out in that dress. The simple block color suited perfectly with her skin tone & make up and complimented her features. In the midst of lush trees and greens, instead of pushing her to the background, it makes her the highlight and focus of every single frame.

Very simple, yet worth to try idea. Any of you brides inspired to have a shoot like this?

Here is a little something about the couple:

They say some things are meant to be... And, this story is just that! Adam and Megan met 12 years ago through their parents. Adam and Megan's fathers went to grade school together and later worked for the same company, which allowed them to share a balcony on Bourbon Street every Mardi gras. Both fathers invited their high school children to join in on the fun. There was an undeniable attraction between the two, but the timing was just not right. Years passed and the two went their separate ways and grew up a lot along the way. One night, 6 years later, Adam and Megan ran into each other. Megan was in nursing school, and Adam was wrapping up his bachelor's degree. This time both were available, and the timing seemed right. Adam wanted that first date, but Megan made it clear she was not interested in any type of relationship while in school. But at the time, she also didn't know Adam. He wasn't letting go or backing down. He pursued her over several weeks until she finally succumbed and agreed to a dinner. The dinner went so smoothly that she asked to go to a movie after. From that moment on, they were truly inseparable. They never wanted a night apart, and rarely did that happen! They were having so much fun together neither realized the fall or how it happened. They were in love and moved in together. After several years, Adam took Megan back to that same balcony where they first met on Bourbon Street, got down on one knee, and proposed. Through all the tears she managed to squeak out a, "yes!" And, so their love story begins!!
