Are the sleepless nights of wedding planning wreaking havoc to your skin? An Asia-wide study revealed that dry and sensitive skin affects 1 in every 2 women, and celebrities like Eunice Olsen are not spared. The new brand ambassador for leading sensitive skincare brand Physiogel, Olsen shares with us her battles with eczema and how choosing the right products will help strengthen the skin in the long run.

As a woman who has had her fair share of battles with sensitive skin, she is the perfect inspiration to any woman who wants to look flawless on her big day. She's a TV host, actress, pianist, humanitarian, former beauty queen and nominated Member of Parliament. A wonder woman in her own right, this 37-year-old also runs her own media company, House of Ou, which produces empowering documentaries for WomenTalk TV.

She keeps herself very busy travelling to Cambodia regularly where she continues her non-profit projects, which was where she discovered she had eczema. "I saw dry patches all over my body so I went to see a dermatologist back in Singapore and she told me it was eczema, and that I could not continue using just any products for bathing and moisturising. It was probably the heat, sweat and dirt that triggered it," says Olsen. "I found out later that my dad had eczema in his 30s as well, so I guess that's why I have it."

Before discovering Physiogel, Oslen went through a period of experimenting with various products for dry skin and eczema. "Now, whenever I travel or even when I go for a swim or to the gym, I can't just use whatever that's available; I can't even use certain baby products! I have to make sure I pack my own shower gel, moisturiser, sunblock, and make sure I have enough of it," she reveals.

Physiogel products use a BioMimic Technology that creates lipids similar to those found naturally in the skin that form a protective barrier to keep the moisture in and irritating allergens out. Its latest Free In My Skin Campaign aims to empower and mobilise women to transform their skin health by finding the right solutions, freeing their skin from sensitivity. Two of Olsen's favourite products are from the Daily Moisture Therapy range: Cream and Dermo-Cleanser. "I've always used a body moisturiser consistently but now it's not just about hydrating, but about what product you use to shower with."
