Ayla Dimitri and Rama Devara's held their gorgeous chinoiserie-themed nuptial last Sunday at the
Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta. Ayla Dimitri started the day getting beautified by Bubah Alfian, who went for a bright, neutral-toned makeup look and had her hair styled in a simple yet classic up-do. However, the true show stopper was the traditional kebaya made by designer Sapto Djojokartiko. The style of the kebaya itself follows the chinoiserie theme and each sequin embroidery tells its own tale. There are ones shaped like birds, palm trees, people, and houses. For the skirt, Ayla Dimitri paid a tribute to her Javanese roots and wore a sidomukti patterned batik fabric, which is from Solo since that's where her father is from. Her look became complete as she wore Rinaldy Yunardi's lush headpiece to hold her white lace veil.
As she made her way down the aisle, you can hear people's oohs and aahs over how heavenly she looked. Finally, she sat down next to the love of her life, and the two exchanged their eternal love vows. The akad ceremony continues with a sungkeman ritual, where the two newlyweds ask for prayers and blessings from the parents. After that, the two lovebirds escaped the crowd and had an impromptu photo shoot showing how happy they are to finally be husband and wife. They, then, proceeded back in the suite to prepare for the reception ceremony.
Stupa Caspea did a splendid job on decoration following the theme of chinoiserie. Apparently, Ayla chose this theme because she had always loved the colors from the Chinese traditional culture. She wanted to bring those colors and concept in a modern way, she even had her wedding invitations designed accordingly. For the reception, Stupa Caspea used a lot of red and purple tones for the flowers. The chandeliers on the ceiling were even adorned by long orange tassels, and they had huge bronzed leaves as centerpieces.
Ayla and Rama entered the gorgeous ballroom looking dazzling. Ayla was wrapped in the same Saptodjojo Kartiko creation, this time it is transformed into a breathtaking evening off-the-shoulder styled white dress. Her impeccable make-up look by
Marlene Hariman was bold and glamorous, which suited her dress. Rama also looked handsome in a black and white classic suit, which was his second Wong Hang Tailor suit of the day. The couple greeted their guests, which included notable celebrities, such as Rachel Vennya, Dimas Beck, and Julie Estelle. The two had many more unforgettable moments that night, from the bride sharing her first dance with her husband, and then another with her father, to jamming to the music with friends.
