Indonesian sweethearts Andrian Pranata and Irene Sunaryo met Singapore while they were art students at La Salle College of the Arts. Fittingly, when the couple planned their wedding, they aimed for something a little off-kilter and original.
The couple incorporated their love for the sea by holding it on a yacht at Marina at Keppel Bay. Working with Hellen Lie from Rosette Designs & Co, they infused nautical details and colours to the venue, with a touch of vintage. The intimate space could host just 65 guests many of whom flew in from Jakarta to join the celebrations.
Their day started off with their solemnisation on board the yacht, followed by an informal Western buffet dinner where guests could freely mingle. Once the older folks disembarked, the after-party commenced, and the yacht sailed out to the marina where everyone watched Sentosa's vivid fireworks display.
What was interesting about Andrian and Irene's wedding was that the day coincided with the Indonesia's National Day on 17th August. "We chose that date so the groom would never forget our anniversary date – he has a really bad memory!" laughs Irene.
