Back in high school, Maggie used to have a major crush on Nick. "I even had his photo on my bedroom wall. We were in separate groups of friends, however, so we didn't really talk to each other," Maggie recalled. It was not until 10 years later during a reunion that they got to know each other better. "Nick asked for my number and from then on, we grew closer every day," said Maggie. When lovers finally find one another after being separated for years, that's when you know that they are truly meant to be.

Nick proposed to Maggie in Bali, when they were attending a friend's wedding. In the middle of a nasi bali dinner, Nick suddenly pulled out a ring and proposed to Maggie. "I admire and love him in so many ways, so of course I said yes," she said. That particular engagement dinner in Bali soon ended up as the inspiration for their wedding theme. "We wanted to incorporate Bali's beautiful heritage into the white wedding concept that we had in mind. A glamorous and elegant soirée filled with crystals and flowers that still embraces local culture," Maggie explained.

Witnessed by 200 guests, their wedding in Villa Anugrah, Uluwatu turned out as wonderful as they had expected. The reception dinner was particularly divine, with long tables, tall flower centerpieces, wooden fans, and crystal trinkets blending ever so flawlessly, creating such an impeccable sight. It's no wonder that the decoration was Maggie's favorite aspect of the wedding.

The couple looked no less stunning. Nick was clad in a dapper suit, and Maggie had on a beautiful kebaya by none other than Anne Avantie, one of Indonesia's most renowned kebaya designers. "I've admired her creations since I was in high school. Finally wearing her piece for my most special day was truly a dream come true," said the bride.

Even though Maggie was so nervous that she couldn't eat anything, the warm ambience of being together with her loved ones made her wedding day feel thoroughly enjoyable. Everything was so blissful; and the pictures by SÁL Photo will tell you all about it.
