Edwin and Linda first met in a mutual friend's wedding held in Houston, Texas. She was the maid of honor, and Edwin was a friend of the groom who helped in organizing the wedding. Edwin initiated the first move by treating Linda and two other bridesmaids for a fresh cup of bubble tea in the hot summer afternoon. He approached Linda again in the evening after the wedding party and asked her out for a city tour.
Edwin never gave up on going after Linda. He bought a ticket to Minnesota, the city where Linda lived, a month after meeting the love of his life for the first time, and their relationship began ever since. Their relationship might be long-distance, but it never lacked in communication and affection. They often call each other and had video calls.
Edwin had the perfect plan for proposing Linda. He asked her to go winter hiking in Apostle Islands, Wisconsin. Right when they've reached a cliff overlooking a beautiful winter scenery, he knelt on one knee and proposed. This spot was so gorgeous that it also became the location for their pre-wedding photoshoot! With that scenery in mind, the couple wanted to have a simple and elegant wedding that resembles an outdoor dinner.
"We prepared everything from the US through Whatsapp and emails, including my wedding dress. Everything was nearly done before we went back to Indonesia, our family and friends in Indonesia helped us a lot," recalled Linda. She reached out to Vivian Koerniady, her friend from high school who is a photographer from State Photography, to document her wedding.
"Edwin is the male version of Linda, and they are truly made for each other. Capturing them was such a joy, you could tell how much they were in love by the way they looked at each other or hold hands when no one is paying attention," gushed Vivian. Linda and Edwin's wedding album did turn out beautifully, and every shot was incredibly natural and dreamy. It almost makes you feel like you were in the couple's love story as well.
Everything during the wedding day went perfectly, which was a surprise for many since the two planned the day from abroad. The all-white decoration was clean and classy, and the fact that Linda was wearing an off-white dress with a beige undertone made her stood out. As the dawn approached, the venue became even more heavenly as the lamps highlighted the lush greenery of the garden and the soft peach roses.
