Today's couple showed us that you can meet your soul mate at the most unexpected, but right time. Miriam and Farizan were introduced by their mutual friends while having dinner at an Italian restaurant. They exchanged numbers that night, and the next thing Miriam knew, Farizan showed up at her office the very next day. Needless to say, it was the start of a wonderful relationship.
Their wedding proposal didn't involve any fireworks, flowers, or fine dining restaurants, but it was meaningful all the same. Farizan went straight to Miriam's parents to ask for her hand in marriage, and their engagement ceremony happened a few months later.
For her wedding attires, Miriam was inspired by both traditional Sundanese and Western brides. "I love seeing European royalty as well as other contemporary Western brides walking down the aisle," said Miriam. At the same time, she wanted to pay tribute to the Sundanese roots she shared with Farizan. In the end, Miriam decided on a white kebaya topped with a floral embroidered veil that cascaded gracefully for the wedding ceremony. During the reception, she was dressed in another beautiful kebaya by Saptodjojokartiko Bride, this time in frosty mushroom pink. "My heart skipped a beat the first time I saw it! It was so sparkly and beautiful!" she added.
Seeing how beautifully the wedding turned out, it's hard to believe that it didn't really have a specific theme. "I only referred to several cultural and colonial ornaments just to have the right mixture of traditional and contemporary," Miriam explained. The rest, she left to the magical hands of Stupa Caspea Event Decoration, who transformed the spacious ballroom of Hotel Mulia Senayan, Jakarta into an elegant garden dominated with green leaves and colorful flowers. There was also a hint of luxury, thanks to the chandeliers and crystal strands hanging from ceiling. "Through everyone's help, every single detail made the wedding so perfectly whimsical and romantic," said the happy bride.
