We've seen plenty of elegant weddings with soft-colored flowers, but today's featured celebration offered something different. Jois and Rex infused their wedding with vintage elements and a gothic touch that paired well with the moody tone of MangoRed's photos.
Jois and Rex's wedding was held throughout the day at Antonio's Restaurant in Tagaytay, Philippines. They chose the restaurant's elevated garden area as the setting of their wedding ceremony. Welcoming the guests was a large banner displaying a calligraphed passage about the couple's relationship. Instead of a wedding arch, colorful flowers and a chandelier seemingly floated in the air, under which Rex and Jois said their "I do"s.
The bride herself wore a unique take on a white wedding dress, which had a coat-like top and a tulle flared skirt. A lace birdcage veil also rested on top of her head, adding a vintage flair to her whole look. Rex looked his most dapper self with a gray suit and skull-shaped cufflinks that showed his personality.
The reception was held soon after inside the restaurant building. Its white interiors, mirrors, and chandeliers really suited the couple's vintage wedding theme. Black opera chairs were laid out next to white tables, which were adorned with floral centerpieces and dimly-lit candles that enhanced the gothic atmosphere. Also completing the whole celebration were three wedding cakes set atop golden platters on a small table also lit with candles.
