Travelling is such a big part of Sebastien d'Armancourt and Francesca Chan's lives that they incorporated it into their wedding décor at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore.
"We are both avid travellers and it was a perfect way for us to share our journey with our guests. Travel also signifies our next step into the future as husband and wife," shares the bride.
With the help of decoration experts from MerryLove Weddings, the venue came to life with a backdrop of paper planes, flag buntings, suitcases, a globe, and mementos for the past couples travels. A track of fairy-lights was also reinforced to the floor of The Straits Room for dreamy effect.
To honour Sebastien's French nationality, the bridesmaids donned red, white and blue while the groomsmen togged colourful socks. A French tradition – lavender buds were tossed into the air as the couple marched into the ballroom to Adele's Make You Feel My Love.
For the second march-in, the bridal entourage made a special entrance to Coldplay's A Sky Full of Stars and blast confetti into the air as the couple entered the room. "The atmosphere was electric and it brought smiles to everyone's faces and ours too!"
The memorable evening was filled with live music, thoughtful speeches and videos, and a poll, to help the couple decide where they should start their travels as newlyweds. And the result was not one but two destinations – Germany and Greece!
