Good chemistry is the key to choosing the right wedding vendor. For Andin, finding Tala was a blessing in the middle of her hectic wedding planning. "Aca and I started looking for a photographer right after we finished our wedding planning timeline," said Andin. "I came across Tala as I was scrolling through @thebridestory and @thebridebestfriend Instagram accounts. I love how their photos are so simple, yet clear and vibrant," she continued.

After some thorough research, Andin and Aca decided on three different wardrobes for their photo shoot. For the first session, they chose traditional attires as a tribute to their Javanese heritage. "Aca wore green beskap suit from Solo and I wore a matching kutu baru kebaya. To top things off, he had on a Javanese blangkon headdress while my hair was done in a traditional bun," said Andin.

Next, they took a contemporary approach with a simple and elegant black-and-white shoot. "We chose black formal attires, a suit for him and an off-the-shoulder dress for me. I paired the look with classic makeup and red lipstick," reminisced Andin.

The last session was when it got more exciting. "We were looking for a unique pre-wedding photo concept that had not been done before," Andin recalled. Just a few days before the shoot, she was watching the Indonesian Independence Day ceremony on television when an idea came up. "I suddenly pictured Aca as a statesman attending the ceremony, complete with a suit, white shirt, red tie, peci, and Garuda brooch," she said. To match the look, Andin chose a red Kartini-style kebaya.

"At first, I was afraid that people wouldn't understand what we were trying to convey, so I asked Diny from Tala to provide fabric backdrops or other suitable props," said Andin. On the day of the shoot, she was pleasantly surprised to find a complete setup that included an Indonesian flag and vintage furniture that truly represented the concept she had in mind. She said, "We're so glad that our photographers could be a part of our wedding. Since then, we've become just like old friends who've known each other for a long time."
