When you can't have a destination wedding far away from home due to the number of guest and family that need to be whisked away, there is a solution to have the best of both worlds. Sarah and Shaun dream of having a destination wedding in the place they first met and fell in love, Scotland. Being Singaporeans, however, they could not simply abandon hundreds of guests back home and have their wedding halfway across the world.
So, they came up with this brilliant idea to create an engagement shoot with the concept of an elopement in the beautiful castles of Scotland. Gathering experts to help them with everything, they prepared the invitation, table setting, flowers, wedding dress and all the way down to wedding cake. Looking back at the pictures it's as if they had their wedding up in the Scotland Highlands. Such a brilliant idea!

Something from the bride:
The Scottish Highlands is nature at its rawest, untainted beauty. We wanted to capture some moments together in a place that would remind us of love that is carefree, bold and endearing through all weathers, even the heaviest storms. We were inspired by the styled pre-wedding film photography shoots we had read online, which were refreshing compared to the usual studio photo shoots quite popular in our part of the world and we thought, "What could be a better place than Scotland?" We wanted to capture two main elements of the Scottish Highlands - elegant castles and the rustic wilderness and found them to be perfectly amalgamated at Inverlochy Castle Hotel at Fort William. Located near the foot of Ben Nevis, we had stunning views of the tallest peak in Scotland and the castle also had its own private wood and lake! We relive the beautiful memories of Scotland we share every single time we look at them. We also had an A-team who worked so hard to make our photo shoot a success - it's a blessing to be able to completely trust them to know what works best for us, and it did. If we had to do it all over again, we would still use the same vendors and choose film photography to have the best photos to look back on.
