DIY couple Candice and Jiwen opted for a wedding that allows them to channel their personality through personal touches and unique elements. The celebration was held in Little Island Brewing Co. in Singapore, a brewpub that's known for its world-class craft beers, sodas, and awesome food. Its indoor and outdoor setting provided an industrial backdrop, which complemented the couple's tropical theme in a very unique way.
With a help from the folks of Fleurapy, the venue was transformed into such a fun-looking place. Inside the brewery, vases of colorful flowers were placed atop wooden tables with burlap runners, enhancing the venue's rustic quality. That's not all, underneath the peach-hued bunting flags strung across the backyard were pineapple-adorned flower arrangements placed along the aisle for a joyful vibe. Candice even painted herself the backdrop for the guests' photo corner! Yet the focal point of the ceremony decoration was certainly the wedding arch. A simple structure decorated with flowers and fabric, it was practical but effective enough to showcase the theme Candice and Jiwen had chosen.
On this special day the bride rocked two different wedding gowns, both with mermaid silhouettes. The first dress was a white sleeveless piece with floral patterns on the upper part of the bodice. The second one was a bold red and black dress with a backless model that flaunted the bride's beautiful figure. Meanwhile, the groom looked absolutely edgy in a black suit and iconic Dr. Martens shoes. Complementing the get up was his pineapple boutonniere, floral-patterned tie and pocket square.
The reception then began at sunset. The guests dined, dance, and as we look through the album, we understand why Thomas of Thomas Tan Photography concluded this affair as loving, fun, and full of quirks. He said, "They had great people, great drinks; it was definitely a night to remember."
