Although the characters had a tragic end on-screen, Kit Harington and Rose Leslie wrote an off-screen happy ending of their own even before the infamous TV hit show begin its final season. The longtime couple tied the knot on Saturday in Scotland, where the actress originated. The Game of Thrones stars exchanged their wedding vows in the Kirkton of Rayne church in Aberdeenshire which is known to have historical values to Leslie's family.
The actors of Ygritte and Jon Snow had a countryside wedding held in a castle belonging to Leslie's family. Of course, it wouldn't be a castle reception without the attendance of people of Westeros, including Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, Maisie Williams, and Sophie Turner. The star-studded guests basked in a traditional Scottish wedding, with a sight of kilts, an old Land Rover decorated with heart-shaped papers and tin cans, as well as flower petals confetti.
Even with fellow stars fashioning their way around the celebration, the bride still successfully stole the show clad in a gorgeous wedding dress by the ever-so-graceful Elie Saab, as well as a white flower crown and and intricately beaded veil on her auburn hair. While Kit was dressed just as impeccably in cream-colored vest and striped pants, while sporting his signature Jon Snow hair throughout the event.
The couple, that claimed to have fallen in love since the filming of Game of Throne's second season in Iceland, radiated their overwhelming happiness in the many beautiful pictures documented by the media. There may not be dragons in this one, but Kit and Rose certainly had their own fantasy, fairy-tale like happy ending.
