The 2018 Golden Globes red carpet is indeed quite different with ones from previous years. Usually well-packed with vibrant colors, this time almost all of the attendees wore black as a form of support to a movement called Time's Up. The initiative is powered by 300 prominent actresses and female agents, actresses, directors, producers and entertainment executives fighting against sexual harassment and the entertainment industry's systemic power imbalance. As part of the initiative, women walking the red carpet at the Golden Globes are requested to speak out and raise awareness by wearing black.
Aside from it being part of a powerful movement, this year's red carpet is by no means duller than any other year's.
