Yuan & Flo

They say 'perfect is when you're both different but in a way, you complete each other' and that is exactly what we captured from this couple. When we met the bride for the first time, she described her husband as a melancholic and bookworm, while she herself was the more cheerful one. We could instantly feel how bubbly and fun she was. We did not meet her soon-to-be husband at that time, so we can only count on her story. Fast forward, design process started. Based on the bride’s story about their relationship, we created navy blue lines to represent the groom's characteristics, which are mature and settled, while the peeking flowers represent the bride's bubbly personality. They complete each other with their contradicting personality. Inspired by their unexpected meeting at their friend's wedding, we put an element of surprise into their wedding invitation, which are gold leaves hiding among flower illustration. Furthermore, the groom has interests in architectural drawing which we incorporate into the design by creating isometric building illustration for the venue map. The whole look of their wedding can be summed up in two words, ‘elegant' and ‘simplicity', and the finish product tells it all. Throughout the whole process, the bride was so kind and warm to us and we thank her so much for being so kind and supportive through the journey. We believe that in any kind of creation, the creator and the customer has to support each other in order to succeed, and that's what we felt when we were working with these lovebirds. We delivered the invitations over dinner with Yuan and Flo and we couldn't be happier than that! We personally thanked Yuan for all knowledge he shared and Flo for all the warmth and joy she brought.
