This video was shot four years ago, and I have been waiting for that long to publish it. This is one of my favorite weddings which I recorded in Singapore, the beautiful registration of marriage ceremony of Alan and Angel (where the officiant was the groom’s father himself - another fact that makes this wedding special). Watching Alan and Angel is a pleasure on its own (and I mean this in the most un-creepy way possible.) I love how comfortable they are with each other, how at ease, how honest and pure… To me, that’s romance. I know that many people think that romance is found in the big things. The world seems to make us think that romance is found in the grand proposal, the extravagant surprise dinner, a luxurious gift, or in the hundred stems of roses on a birthday. Believe me… it’s hardly about the big things. In fact, romance is in the little things that are done or given consistently. To me, romance is in the warm hug when you least expected it. It’s in the second kiss, the single rose, the simple gestures to show you care, every single day. That’s romance. Usually, I’d keep my camera rolling and wait patiently for that one moment of honest connection and undeniable chemistry. With Alan and Angel, I didn’t have to wait that long… and I didn’t have to wait on just one moment because every moment they shared was honest and priceless. They were beautiful together, at any time. Witnessing a love story is one of the best parts I love about my job and I had the best time working with this pair of lovebirds. They are wonderful people made completely for each other. Congratulations again. Love, Garry
