Langkawi Wedding of Nur and Faris
by Twinception Productions

Updated on 31 July 2018, Kedah

Nur has known Faris’ mum for almost 8 years before she got to know Faris on a more personal and intimate level. The couple first met in December 2015 when the two of them along with his mum and auntie went to visit an acquaintance. No words were exchanged between the two of them at that point in time until they met again during his mum’s book launch in 2016. However, it would seem that fate was pulling the strings to its own personal amusement as they lost contact after that. But it all changed after their path crossed again during Eid last year. It was his auntie who coaxed her to talk to him when she came to visit his mum that day. It would suggest that the term ‘the elders know best’ seems befitting to this situation as they hit off right after they began to talk. After that fateful meeting, Faris asked his auntie for her number and their relationship took off hand in hand from there. For the two of them, they’d define their relationship as a chill and drama-free journey. They’re thankful due to the fact that both sides of the family have known each other even before the two fell in love, which helped a lot when it came to the wedding preparation. The solemnization took place at The St. Regis, Langkawi. With the dais facing the guests as they faced the sea, the setting of the wedding had a tropical feel to it. One would even feel that they have transported to the white sandy beaches of Hawaii. Contrasting against the white of the attire for both the bride and groom were the bright and colourful petals from the flowers that adorned the chairs of the guests and the bouquet. As the sun began to set itself against the horizon in the distance, Faris recited the words that bind the two of them together as husband and wife. Sitting on the dais with her mother, Nur began to smile as the day ended in the most beautiful way. With the sky turning to a golden yellow, the now married couple made their way to the edge of the beach. Hand in hand, heart in heart, the journey together now looked just as beautiful as the sunset.
