Zhi Qing Big 21st

Was a first big project we have ever embarked on, to prepare a Dessert Table setup for a friend's Big 21st Birthday Celebration. The level of stress was there because it was our very first attempt at a cake more than one layer, and baking a wide spread of pastries to cater for a party of up to 50 people - with Grandma in the house, little cousins running around, Aunties and Uncles turning up for a reunion and friends that came by to give their wishes. Really an eye-opener for us, preparing and also presenting this dessert table on the day itself. To our delight, it was a great success as we see the smiles on the birthday girl's face as her friends checked out her pretty cakes and the Grandma stood by to watch me setup. It was a really heart-warming moment, not that it was great business deal, but the idea that we were actually given the chance, to grace the girl's party by preparing for a dessert table that is going to be featured in her photo album, when she looks back and remember all the fun she has that day. Marvelous was the word to describe it all.
