This video, which is a song from "Joseph- Prince of Dreams", is titled "Better than I". I was very affected by this song, especially in the darkest moments of my life, where things really did not make sense at all, and it seemed that injustice prevailed and one appeared more of a loser when one sought to really follow God's will. But then, if we really know the story of Joseph, we can see that there were so many injustices and terrible things in his life, more than many of us would experience in a lifetime. I mean, how many of us can say that we were betrayed by our loved ones, thrown to a pit, delivered to slave lords from a foreign land, framed for a crime never committed while trying to do the right thing and being apparently forgotten and left to rot in prison, while dealing with ingrates you've helped while in captivity? Yet, in the midst of the greatest adversities, Joseph never once doubted God's sovereignty, goodness and His loving guidance even when nothing made sense and everything looked hopeless. I can say that I am very far off from that kind of faith and moral calibre Joseph displayed because I've questioned Him so many times for things that have gone so wrong. Through it all, I think we are to learn the lesson, if we are truly open, teachable and humble, to realise that God's ways are infinitely higher than our ways and He wisely uses adversities, injustices, opposition, betrayals and apparent defeats to prepare us for something far greater than we can imagine and all He requires is that we believe in HIM and that He is always working out ALL THINGS, even the worst things, together for good to those who love Him (Romans 8.28). He never said it was going to be easy and in fact, following Him NEVER is. But He did say that we will never be alone and that His grace and presence will be there with us if we throw in our lot with Him and NOT look back FOR HE KNOWS BETTER THAN !.
