Max & Sepi

Updated on 17 November 2017, Bali

Sepideh Haftgoli and Max Loong first met at a restaurant in Los Angeles, one day before Max had to leave town for three weeks. Sparks flew instantly, and the two soon started a relationship. "During that time, we spoke on the phone nearly every day and got to know one another quite well. We saw each other immediately upon his return and have been inseparable since," Sepideh recalled. One day, a few years later, the couple planned a trip to Italy to attend a wedding of Sepideh's close friend. Max suggested having a Euro trip together before the wedding, an idea that Sepideh excitedly agreed on. They first went to Max's home country, Switzerland. After continuing to a few different cities along the French Riviera, they stayed in the fabulous Hotel du Cap-Eden Roc in Antibes. It was here that Max lead Sepideh to a cliffside ledge overlooking the ocean. He got down on one knee, and the rest was history. The couple immediately decided to have a travel-themed destination wedding. "We knew that we were going to have our wedding in Bali, as we thought it would be fun to have our closest people not only experience a new country but also have a little vacation. And since travel has been a big part of our lives since we met, we couldn't have imagined having any other theme," said Sepideh. "This was also meant as a unique and fun way to greet our guests, as the majority of them were traveling from numerous parts of the world," she continued.
