Melisa and Grant
by In A Maze Films

Updated on 20 June 2016, Sydney (New South Wales)

“A good marriage must be created. It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives. It is speaking words of appreciation. It is standing together and facing the world. It is not only marrying the right person, but it is being the right partner.” It was a beautiful sunny day. Before the wedding ceremony, the couple met on the picturesque Moon Bridge surrounded by lush greenery at Cooper Park that we had scouted specially for their first look. Not every couple has the first look as part of the wedding day. This is a chance for the bride and groom to have a private moment together before they make the biggest commitment of their lives to each other. It also gives the couple plenty of time after the ceremony to relax and mingle with their loved ones before the reception. Although Grant was the picture of calm, we could tell he was nervous as he waited for Melissa to reach him at the end of the bridge – to see the love of his life in her wedding dress for the first time. It was a magical moment for us as wedding videographers to witness and capture the tenderness of the love between this wonderful couple. Melissa and Grant exchanged their vows in an intimate outdoor courtyard, decorated beautifully by Wild Blossom at the unique wedding location of the National Art School. We laughed along as Melissa promised to not buy so many shoes and to have a sense of humour when Grant pokes fun at her, and when Grant promised to appreciate the latest men’s fashion and to not talk about archery all the time. There was a buzz of excitement in the air inside the Cell Block Theatre, as family and friends came together to celebrate with Melissa and Grant on their special day. The wedding cake created by Simple Ingredients and the fine dining by Laissez Faire Catering were absolutely divine. It was a great pleasure to work with Mark & Kara photography for this event, which we felt was one of the most relaxed and smooth-running weddings that we have had the honour to be a part of! We hope you will enjoy Melissa and Grant’s Wedding Highlights Film as much as we have enjoyed creating it!
