Some weddings feel like stepping into the bride’s dream. Having always envisioned a wedding like Bella and Edward’s in Twilight, she dreamed of a rustic, forest-themed celebration. The pair, both from Indonesia, first crossed paths as young adults while studying in Taiwan. Over the next decade, they built their lives together from the ground up. Career-focused and deeply supportive of one another’s goals, they found camaraderie and companionship in the shared hustle of their work and personal lives. By the tenth year of their relationship, it was undeniable—they were ready to embrace their next chapter. After visiting venues across Uluwatu, Finella and Russel fell in love with Tirtha—specifically Glass House which embodied the enchanting forest ambience they dreamed of and the elegant charm they sought. Their vision was simple: an intimate wedding surrounded by loved ones. Bali, with its breathtaking vistas and comfortable location for their global guest list, felt like the perfect choice. “We didn’t expect it to be an emotional wedding,” Finella shared, “but it was. Our ceremony in the heaven was unforgettable—intimate and heartfelt.” During the vows, the couple exchanged more than promises, they shared tears of joy with everyone present. That dream came to life at Tirtha’s Glass House. Accented with sage and white hues, the space exuded a serene, otherworldly charm. The couple wanted their wedding to celebrate not just their union, but their heritage. Guests were treated to delicious Indonesian cuisine, with favourites like sop buntut taking center stage. The three months leading up to the wedding were intense, but Finella credits their wedding planner for making it all possible. “We appreciate our planner for always sticking by us. She picked up all the pieces and fought for us when there were hiccups. She really was on our side. The tip is to always communicate your hopes and dreams, but also your fears and concerns!” Tirtha’s team went above and beyond to ensure every palate was satisfied.“We saw plates being refilled multiple times, and guests even asked which restaurant supplied the food. They couldn’t believe it was all in-house.” The big day seamlessly combined the best of both worlds: the Glass House’s lush, forest-like ambiance and Tirtha Uluwatu’s dramatic ocean views. Transporting a large group to these picturesque locations proved a logistical challenge, but in the end, it was worth every effort. For Finella and Russel, their wedding was a true reflection of the life they had built together. “It was the happiest day for us,” Finella shared. “Everything turned out just the way we dreamed.” A love story a decade in the making, celebrated amidst Bali’s most stunning landscapes, Finella and Russel’s wedding serves as a beautiful reminder that with love, hard work, and a shared vision, dreams really do come true.
