The world of typography has always enchanted Veronica Halim. Fortunately, her background in graphic design allowed her to explore the many possibilities of applying calligraphy to different things. Founded in 2011, her studio started to focus on calligraphy around three years ago as Veronica felt that she needed to pick up a new hobby. She wanted to start something more handmade in particular, away from the digital world, something that is also therapeutic to balance out her hectic life. She then taught herself calligraphy and joined several workshops.
Veronica's involvement in the wedding industry is undeniably unique as she often collaborates with other artists, such as decorators and florists. She especially enjoys brainstorming and seeing her works combined with all the other beautiful elements of a wedding scene, in which she consistently creates something that fits each individual client's character and the overall concept. Furthermore, she shares a tip for all you brides and grooms-to-be, which is to choose a calligrapher based on their portfolio and style, and then decide which one suits your style the most.
"It first started as a hobby that grew into workshops, some collaboration projects with different artists, and now lots of weddings. Hopefully in the near future, I will be able to launch my own product line," said Veronica. Well, we hope her dreams come true and she will announce the good news soon.
