Get Flawless Skin with This Pre-Wedding Routine

Warna:

Even if you're not a bride-to-be, having balanced and healthy skin is a goal worth the effort. When you're skin is in a good equilibrium, you won't have to put on so much makeup to cover your imperfections. You also won't need to put a lot of modern potions to counteract dryness or oilyness. Even more importantly, balanced skin reflects what's going on inside your body, meaning that your insides are also doing just fine. Since you're going to be under harsh lighting, stares, and also hundreds of camera lenses on your wedding day, it's even more crucial to prep your skin as you're preparing for the big day.

The key in addressing your skin problems is to tackle the one case that is the most severe, or the one that has been bothering you the most. For example, if you have acne, hyper-pigmentation, and dehydrated skin, you might want to look after your acne first. Discoloration can be covered by makeup, but bumpy skin will still show through under layers of foundation.

Acneic Skin

If you do have acne that's still considered light or moderate, try to look for a spot treatment or night creams with active ingredients for acne like salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Salicylic acid will help to unclog the blocked pores, and benzoyl peroxide is beneficial to kill acne-causing bacteria. Since these ingredients tend to be drying, keep your cleansing products, such as your facial cleanser and toner, light and hydrating. Opt for a low pH cleanser and hydrating toner with ingredients such as glycerin, hyaluronic acid, and chamomile extract.

But if you have severe acne, there is no better solution than a consultation with a dermatologist. Do your research first, making sure that the derm is willing to help you achieve a healthy skin right from the root cause. If he or she hands you a prescription with just a quick look on your skin, you might want to ignore their advice. Here are a few things to do before making an appointment with a derm.
