Set amidst 3.8 hectares of lush tropical gardens and an idyllic resort vibe, Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa was the perfect wedding location for lovebirds Ethan and Qin Ning.
The couple took their vows in the romantic Glass Pavilion, aka Glass Chapel, which looked out to the verdant greenery outside. Guests took their seats in stylish Louis Ghost Chairs by Philippe Starck and witness the beautiful ceremony. "We love greenery and the glass pavilion is the perfect place for us. Nestled within lots of lush foliage, the pavilion was a mix of elegance and nature," says the bride.
With the help of loved ones, they DIYed most of the wedding décor with a rustic-vintage theme at Shutters Restaurant, where they hosted a 4-course Western dinner for 120 guests. The reception area which was filled with pretty little details like clothes-pegged photos, picture frames, wooden props, recycled bottles, acorns, candles, lanterns and lots of twinkling fairy lights. The lights helped elevate the ambience of the restaurant to another level…and made it simply romantic!
"I went insane and designed all the wedding stationery. It started off with invitation cards, which later expanded to menu, place cards, thank you tags and small love puns to place at each seat. It was fun, until we realised we are running short of time and had to rush through the preparations!" laughs Qin Ning.
The couple booked photographers from Awesome Memories Photography to capture their special day. "We looked at Awesome Memories Photography's portfolio and fell in love with shots of all the smallest details and how they managed to capture raw emotion on still photos. We met up with the photographer and instantly felt their dedication to their profession ... the rest is history."
