E&B Rustic Industrial Wedding In Bali
by Hari Indah Wedding Planning & Design

Updated on 19 February 2017, Bali

The story of Bronte & Elle (B+E) When we first met Elle & Bronte from Australia, I quizzed them about the beginning of their relationship, hoping to find some details for the wedding concept. Obvious questions were not giving me many clues. I decided to just to jump in and start designing, with hope that some personal details will unfold. My patience was rewarded. They did, and they were very special. The Story This was not love at first sight. They met through mutual friends, started going out, you know, the usual stuff. At some stage they realised this is more than just dating and going away for weekends. They realised they simply were meant to BE. Bronte proposed on Christmas Day when they were away from their families. There was a teary phone call to Elle’s family to share the news. Then, they decided to invite all their friends and family to spend quality time together in Bali, and that’s how they found us. The Concept B+E wanted a wedding to reflect their easy going personalities. The main focus was family and friends. They wanted to create a playground for everyone to simply have a great time. Rustic Industrial styling was an obvious choice to reflect how close they were to their grandparents and their happy childhood memories spent at their farms, always outdoors. B+E wanted a very informal gathering, so it took a bit of negotiation to convince them to have a first dance, or even the cake (and what a cake it was!) In fact, if it wasn’t for a paid deposit, I am pretty sure they would not have one! There was no formal table plan. To honour their childhood memories and say thank you to their grandparents, they named the tables after their grandparents’ farms, Timbertop (Elle’s) and Tarkarri (Bronte’s). Decoration was full of colourful rustic blooms, furniture and props. We created a couple of photo displays. The wedding invitation was a beach postcard, which looked pretty much like the beach where their wedding villa was located on. Simple and so much in style of B+E. The Ceremony Elle’s Uncle, John, took on the role of wedding celebrant. Scripted and rehearsed the day before, John improvised in many parts and created a ceremony text even more beautiful and personal than before. There was not a dry eye in sight, and they were all happy tears. This was a very special wedding for Hari Indah team, because it was our first official booking. It meant a lot to us that this gorgeous couple decided to entrust us with designing and planning their big day. Looking at their testimonial, we created one beautiful day. And they lived happily ever after!
