David & Adelia Royal Greek Wedding
by Flying Bride

Updated on 25 November 2016, Bali

David loves history and myths especially the Greek Mythology; whereas Adelia dreams to have a White & Gold wedding that fits for royalty. Combined together, I envisioned their wedding to be inspired by the Greek Mythology with White, Gold, and Rose Gold as the dominant color. Add to it grandeur Greek pillars, opulent flowers, golden leaves wreath as hair accessories, and Greek style font on the stationery to complete the design. The Greek pillars which became a grand background to the bridal table and along the aisle were custom made especially for this wedding, For the ceremony, smaller Greek pillars were fully decorated with lush white flowers. You could also see the "Meander" motif or Greek key being used as border on the stationery set. Meander was the most important symbol in Ancient Greek and symbolizes the bond of friendship, love and devotion. Just perfect to describe their relationship which started from friendship before turning into love and a lifetime devotion through their beautiful marriage. To share their story and make the wedding not only beautiful, but memorable to the guests as well, we created a mini magazine that outlines the love story between David & Adelia and testimony of people around them of how they see them as a couple. Adel even made hand drawn illustrations of the wedding party together with some personal words from the couple to the people who are closest to their hearts. Talk about a personal touch! The little magazine was designed "Kinfolk" style, as it is a favourite magazine that Adel collects and takes pleasure to unwind in between her hectic schedule. The night may have ended with fireworks, yet behind all the glam and glitz; the wedding still felt intimate, wrapped with emotions and happy tears. Just what the couple wished for their wedding.
