If we had to choose only two words to describe Andrew and Diedra's wedding, they would be romantic and lovely. It's no wonder that their wedding held last November turned out so well, as the wedding proposal a few months earlier was no less romantic. "We were having brunch in Boneka Restaurant in St. Regis, Nusa Dua. Next to us was a Russian family and one of them, I think he was the grandfather, suddenly called out to us and said, 'Hey, you should ask her to marry you! I've been watching you two and I can see that she loves you.'" It turned out that, later on the day, Andrew did propose to Diedra in Ubud. He had planned everything carefully, except for the Russian grandpa.

The couple immediately searched for wedding inspirations, settling for gold and pink with a touch of navy for their invitations, favors, and table settings. A self-confessed detail-freak, Diedra specifically asked for yellow warm lights and candles. She even went to her vendor's warehouse and chose the details herself. Diedra didn't do all the work by herself, though. Andrew owns a Japanese Restaurant, so they decided to do the catering themselves. Along with Andrew's family, they made a special set menu which they've never done for weddings before. The main course was Andrew's specialty, so he actually prepared the meal himself a few days before the wedding. Even though his hand got injured during the process, their hard work paid off well as all the guests loved the food.

Although it rained a bit on the wedding day, everything went exactly as planned and the couple still had the best day of their lives. "I loved everything about the wedding, even the rain that came out of nowhere between the ceremony and reception. I loved that our guests came from everywhere, Jakarta, Bandung, Perth, Melbourne, Singapore. We felt so much love on that day. Oh! One thing I really love is my bridal table. The champagne table cloth with white lace looked so pretty!" said the bride.

It was pretty indeed, as was the whole celebration. Every vendor helped to make the couple's dream come true. Scroll right down to see the beautiful pictures taken by Pyara and read a few wedding planning tips from the bride.

From the blushing bride:

There are three advice I can give. First, having a rain plan is important. Second, be sure that your vendors suit your style. Set a meeting with the organizers and everyone involved in your wedding concept. Make sure they have what you want and that your style is aligned with theirs. Most organizers say yes to everything you say before making a deal and after the deal, they'll be gone and go back to their own style which doesn't always suit yours.

Third, the rehearsal is a must. Some wedding organizers just don't get it, sometimes they don't even want to do it. But you have to know where to stand, on which side to stand, the song cues, and how you're going to walk down the aisle. You can't remember everything word by word, so you have to do it in order to memorize all of the things.

Lastly, make a scrapbook or inspiration board consisting of what you like and what you don't like. Divide them into sections: gown, hair, shoes, bridesmaid gowns, plus the vendor lists, flowers you like, flowers you don't like, color palettes you like and don't like, overall concepts, etc. Doing this will make it easier for you to tell your vendors about what you like and don't like, so they can understand your style perfectly.
