Wedding of Christian Bautista & Kat Ramnani
by Tirtha Bali

Updated on 16 January 2019, Uluwatu, Bali

Romantic balladeer Christian Bautista just tied the knot with long-time girlfriend Katrina Ramnani and had their beautiful wedding ceremony at Tirtha Uluwatu in Bali, an island paradise in Indonesia where the Filipino singer has a sizable fan base. The couple met through a common friend in Mandaluyong City, Philippines and Christian later proposed to Kat, October last year in Venice, 2 years after they reportedly met in 2015. The wedding was ushered in on Friday, November 16, 2018 with a welcome dinner in a Balinese-Indian-themed party at the Stone House by Tirtha, located on a cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean. The bride dressed up in a Gagra choli, a combination of midriff-baring blouse and long embroidered skirt while the groom wore a sherwani. Guests were treated to a four-course wine pairing fine dining menu at Plumeria Room of The Glass House, hosted personally by Tirtha’s two time award-winning sommelier, Mr. Daisuke Kawai, who is also the Director and Chief Sommelier at La Terre, a luxury wine bar in Singapore. The entertainment was presented by Quark Henares and Mike Blanding (Director of Corporate Responsibility for InterContinental Hotels Group). Pinoy singer, Erik Santos sang The Last Time I’ll Fall in Love, followed by the groom’s brother, Mark Bautista then by Sam Concepcion who is a known singer, dancer, actor and host in Philippines. The wedding cake was a highlight of its own! A 4-tiered naked donut cake embellished with donuts and rosemary for an added pop of color, standing strong against the Bali heat and made its debut at the after party, prepared by Naked Patisserie owner himself, Christian Mark Jacobs, known as the specialist in bespoke Weddings & Events cakes in the Philippines. The after party took place at the Moonlight Garden just below the dining room, breathtakingly decorated with fairy lights, cozy natural seating areas including a lovely corner set with Japanese styled bamboo fan and white flip-flops to allow guests to switch from their high heels so they could dance the evening away. The after party was kicked off with a surprised song for Christian from Kat who had been secretly practicing singing and playing the ukulele for four months. Followed by the super talented band from Bali, Manja and closed by DJ Inaki Ting, also a personal friend of the groom for a terrific fun silent disco time.
