String Quartet at Wedding Solemnisation in Capella Sentosa
by Merry Bees Live Music

Updated on 21 September 2017, Singapore

The Wedding... “Robyn and Dylan wanted a formal luncheon with an outdoor ceremony. The venue they picked was Capella and their ceremony was held in an area called The Patio overlooking the sea and greenery. It was a lovely spot as Merry Bees provided live elegant jazz and popular music from our string quartet performing classics and also wedding favourites from Disney movies as the bride marches down with her father for the solemnisation ceremony. *For the lunch reception, Dylan & Robyn hired our premium singers, ShiLi & Adi who serenaded the guests with timeless songs in their quartet setting featuring youtube star percussionist and educator, Turbochicken and singer cum guitarist John Lye. It was a fun lunch celebrations with many song dedications and well wishes written to the bride and groom as the singers read out their messages via our dedications slips placed at every banquet table. The dedications certainly added a touch of intimacy with the guests from our entertainers and also personalising it to Dylan and Robyn's big day as the well wishes are being read out and the guests singing along to their favourite songs. ShiLi & Adi also brilliantly incorporated Dylan & Robyn's favourite songs into their setlist. Advice from the couple about what they think makes a strong marriage... "Mutual respect, communication and understanding form the pillars of any successful marriage. We are now both full-time entrepreneurs running our own baby and kids boutique brand "Le Petit Society". Having to work and live together, we face each other almost 24/7 and sometimes issues do occur as we work on different requirements of the business and have differing points of view. When arguments start, they usually stem from a problem with communication. All too often, when you spend a lot of time with another person, you forget that the other person may not have the full picture to which you may be coming from and this results in misunderstandings. The best thing is to talk things through calmly and lay out the relevant facts to clear up any misunderstandings, you can then learn from the incident, forgive each other and move on with your lives. Trouble usually starts when a couple's communication breaks down completely. We certainly believe a couple's marriage can be strong with these fundamentals in check." ~ Dylan and Robyn
