I believe that differences doesn’t always end up bad, sometimes it even unexpectedly results in something beautiful. Chinoiserie is one of the example. Derived from French word of ‘chinois’ (Chinese), it is the mixture of Eastern and Western design style. Due to the popularity of Chinese porcelain, silk, and lacquer-ware in the 18th century, many British designers and craftsmen were inspired to imitate Chinese designs and create their own fanciful versions of the East. It was made up by two different cultures, but it surely has its own charm. Even Andy and Novia were enchanted to apply this chinoiserie on their wedding card. After all, I think a marriage itself is also one of the beautiful example of uniting the differences, because what was once two separated lives, is twined together as one through the sacred matrimony.
