They say love is blind. We disagree. Infatuation is blind, love is all-seeing and accepting. Love is seeing all the flaws and blemishes and accepting them. Love is accepting the bad habits and mannerisms, and working around them. Love is recognizing all the fears and insecurities, and knowing your role is to comfort. Love is working through all the challenges and painful times. Infatuation is fragile and will shatter when life is not perfect. Love is strong and it strengthen because it is real. Real love isn’t always like a fairytale. If you want a real love, you must work for it. There will be lots of sacrifices and struggles to pursue it. There is a time when you will sacrifices all your “happiness” for your spouses in order to see a smile in their faces. Real love is not based upon romance, candle light dinner, and walk along the beach. It’s based on care, compromise, respect, and trust. For the Groom: The most effective way to remember your wedding anniversary is to forget it…once! Always answer the question “do I look too big in this ” with ” you look lovely”. And in any other situation the answer is, and always will be, “yes dear!” For the Bride: If in doubt say “yes”. Always tell your husband how much you saved buying on special before saying how much you spent. Although you think you know your man, always give him room to grow. Who he is today is just the beginning of who he can be in the future if you believe in him. Congratulation Ricky and Nina! Congratulations to you both and may you carry the joy of this happy day close to your heart as you journey the road of life together.
